School Daze

Kylan had his first day of Kindergarten yesterday. I went to drop him off and did really well until we were walking to the car. At least I held it together and didn't totally fall apart! I just got teary eyed thinking of my baby growing up! I guess he will be alright though. I mean, I'm not the only mom ever to have to go through this, right? :) I'm a baby! At least he likes school and he seems to be doing fine.

Wipeout!

Caleb was riding his bike the other day, after all the rain. He made a slight turn of the handle bars and the bike tipped over, with him still on it. He fell right into a huge yucky puddle. As you can see from the picture, he got pretty wet. Look closer and you can see all the mud and grass sticking to his clothes. I tried really hard not to laugh at him, but I couldn't help smiling all the way home. When I went inside to get the camera I was laughing while I told Nate what happened. What a mean mom! :)

Caleb is 3 now! Time has flown by so fast. It helps me realize I need to take more time enjoying the kids, they are growing up so fast!

Finally....

We've been waiting patiently for Hannah to get the walking thing down. She took her first steps when we were in Utah, at the end of June. She's just been taking her sweet time figuring out how to walk. But now she walks all over. Pretty soon she'll be running, she has to keep up with those brothers somehow. The video is coming...the site is having some problems, or maybe it's just me :)

Argh Matey!

We had a Pirate Party last saturday for both the boys. They got to invite some of their friends and they had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of what we did.

Last night it was Scouts and Mutual, so we had to find some poor soul to watch our kids. The unlucky ones were the Shannon family. They seem to always get stuck with watching our little rascals. Well, little did we know that there was a suprise for us when we went to pick them up....

The Shannon's son had his hair cut like this earlier in the summer. So one sunday I caught Kylan spiking his hair for church. I asked him,"What are you doing?" and he says, "I'm giving myself a hawky, like Eric." So I'm not sure if it was that same day or another sunday, but I was warned by Laura that Jared had just promised Kylan that he would give him a mohawk the next time he came over. So Jared came through on his promise and we have a new look for the rest of the summer :) And he says if it were any other people he wouldn't have done it. Thanks Jared! We feel so special!!
