Making memories

While I was growing up we didn't take very many family photos(professional-like) so I guess I am trying to make up for that :) I probably take too many, but at least my kids will be able to see themselves in every stage, huh?

My Mom was able to come for another visit. She came during Spring Break and stayed for 10 days. We had a lot of fun hanging out with her. This is a picture that we took while she was here. Hannah wasn't really cooperating, so this was the best one :)

A new addition...

I made this for the girls' room. I need to get organized and it's helpful if the little people can hang up their own jackets and backpacks. So voila!



It really is centered on the wall, it just looks off because of the door :) It was fun to make and really easy!

3 months....

Olivia is 3 months old now! Time is sure flying! She is such a doll and is so easy going that she just fits perfectly into our family.



I just took her yesterday for her 2 month shots, bad, I know. But there's a story behind it :) We forgot to add her to our insurance after she was born, DUH! I can blame it on lack of sleep, mostly. Then with the holidays, it was just a blur. So anyway, she has her own major medical insurance, but nothing else. We are hoping that she will stay healthy until open enrollment in June! Anyway, so I took her in to the Health Department for her shots. I may start doing that for all my kids, $10 is still cheaper than the stinkin copay for the visit to the doctor :)

She is doing very well. She's gooing and smiling all the time now. We grow to love her more each day!

Confessions of a shopaholic...

Okay, so I'm not as bad as the girl in the movie, I don't have 12 credit cards! And I don't usually buy for myself, but I love to shop! Yet I really don't have much to show for it. Only piles and piles of laundry. I have some bad obsessions.

the first one is the clearance racks....

I just can't resist, as hard as I try :) And it's mostly the kids that I buy for.

the second one is ribbon...

For some reason since Hannah was born I have been buying ribbon like crazy. It's probably because I like to make hair accessories, huh? But yet I haven't gotten around to using all the ribbon that I have bought! Go figure!

the last one is really dumb, I'm obsessed with stocking up on food....

Big Lots is my favorite store! And right before Olivia was born I was stocking up like crazy. I bought so much stuff for lunches, and just snack food. I was trying to make up for the lack of shopping after the baby came. I figured I wouldn't want to go to the store and that Nate wouldn't think to buy this stuff.

It's actually pretty funny how bad it is. Except that all the clothes keep piling up because I get behind in the laundry and then I have baskets of clean and dirty clothes all over the house. Plus there is no where to put all the clothes. I really should seek some professional help, then again maybe not! :) Or maybe I should just try to find another outlet, that would be a great idea! Now what to do.....? I guess I'll need to think about this. Any suggestions?

A little late..

We celebrated Nate's 32nd birthday last tuesday. He worked a long day and we had a lot going on, so we had to squeeze it in. I made him the best chocolate cake ever (at least that is the name we told the kids, it's actually called something else that I can't really post!) :) It was really good!! He got to open presents and play the Wii with the kids, so hopefully it was a good one.

I had to blow dry it to see what it would look like. I guess we'll see what it looks like on a normal day when I don't do her hair. She may be getting her hair done a lot in the next while. :) It will grow back, right?
