Calling all the ladies!

This movie is coming out on friday! I usually like his movies, and he's not bad to look at :) And the previews look pretty good. So anyone who would like to join me in watching this, we'll meet at my house and head over to the drive in. We'll meet around 7:30 so we can get there and get a good place. Bring a camp chair and we can see how many people we can fit around one car :) Or depending on how many show up we might need a couple cars. Come for a fun night out! Hope to see you there!

Such a big girl

Yesterday I changed Hannah's bed into a toddler bed. I figure it's time to get her used to it so I can have the crib for the baby. At nap time she did really well and went right to sleep. It was the same at bedtime. In the middle of the night though, I heard her crying and went to check on her. She had rolled off the bed and rolled under the bed. So she was crying because she was stuck under the bed :) Silly girl! And silly mommy for not putting her toy baskets back under there so she wouldn't have that problem. Hopefully it won't happen again, I think she was a little traumatized!

The big spill...

The other night Kylan was messing around on the couch. He fell off and landed on his ear on a wooden chair. The poor thing was crying for 20 minutes straight. You can't really see it in the picture, but the red part on the ear is now purple. And luckily the bump behind the ear went down and only left a little scab. I guess I should learn to put things away as soon as possible. The chair was left over from having a quilt up. I took it down because I haven't worked on it since I have been sick with the pregnancy. I just hadn't felt good enough to put the chairs away and that just happened to be what he fell on! Dang it! At least kids bounce back fast :) And now he has a battle wound to show off.

Easter

Dad taking on Caleb in the egg roll

This is the favorite activity for Easter, boys will be boys :)

Hannah was enjoying the egg roll

Daddy had to point out the way :)

The boys on the hunt

We had a great Easter. Well at least the kids did, with being pregnant and nauseous it put a little damper on my festivities. But at least I made a good dinner and had done some preparations. I didn't get pictures of the kids in their Easter attire, so I feel bad about that, but I'll have to have a re-shoot (does it count since I didn't do the first one?). We should have had some people over to share our food with, but I was not up for company and would not have been a great hostess. Lately all I can do is eat and lie on the couch. Once in a while I fit something constructive in there. My poor kids! Oh well, what do ya do, right? Well I guess it's time to end this, since I am just rambling :)

This video is for the Grandparents, mostly mine. Sorry, I was feeling a little crummy, hence the no smile. We are doing the egg roll with the dyed Easter eggs. It has been a tradition in my family forever, well I did it when I was one :)

Texas sized storm

On Saturday night we had quite the storm. Luckily we were all inside when the golfball size hail started coming down. It was pretty cool to watch and listen to, only our trees didn't like it much :) We didn't have much damage, so that was good. The car got some dents, but we're lucky that it's white and they don't show that well. Some of our friends weren't so lucky, with holes in slides and their roof being torn apart. It was crazy, but we're sure glad that we got the moisture, we needed it!

Long awaited update...

HA! Well at least, since this is my journal now, I should write about Caleb's eye issue :) We went to Lubbock and met with the new doctor and it turned out great! He was more informative than any of the others and really seemed to want to help us. He does have a lazy eye, and is really near sighted in that eye. Which is why his eye wanders, his brain is shutting it down because of him not being able to use it. So he got a new prescription and we are trying some atrophine drops instead of the patching. So he gets one drop in the good eye to blur it and then there is no fighting over the patch. It has been great so far! If he fights me on the eye drop, I just ask him if he wants to wear the patch and he gives in, it's fabulous! We'll be going back in 6 weeks to see if there has been any change. We're keeping our fingers crossed!

AAHHHHHHHHHHH!

I just had to let that out :) I am so stinkin frustrated with Caleb's eye doctor. I'll try not to make this too long but I will explain a little so you can see where I'm coming from. When Caleb was about a year we noticed that his right eye would wander. So as it got worse we took him in to the eye doctor, which we were referred to by our pediatrician. So we go to the first appointment(he's not quite 2 yet.) And instead of seeing the doctor, we get some assistant or who knows, she never told us her name and didn't speak english very well. So she checks his eye and gives us the prescription for a -10 for the bad eye and nothing for the other(that's almost legally blind!). So we get the glasses, which come three days after I had Hannah(three weeks early!) so that was fun. We had to put an eye patch on the good eye for 6 hours a day. That was pure torture! He took that patch off so many times a day, we went through a box a day, almost. Anyway, so we go back in for a check up and the doctor changes his prescription....totally changes it. Now it's a +1 in the left eye and nothing in the bad one! WHAT! So with me having great eyes and knowing nothing of prescriptions, I got it filled. So we had to pay out of pocket for that lense and we went back to check with the doc because Nate had some questions for him. And this is when he refers us to a pediatric opthamologist. Um....that would have been helpful a long time ago! So we go and yada, yada, yada....We are still getting the run around. But now we are down to only patching for 3 hours a day. And the kid has broken his glasses, but it's just the side without the prescription so we have just glued, and glued, and glued the lense in mutiple times. Because for some reason, glue does not hold glass to metal...hmmmm.....go figure. So at his last appointment the doctor checks his eye and says that we just need to get the right prescription for him(which he had referred us to a regular eye doc to get) and we're like....huh? "I thought that's why we came to you?" And he's like...."I'm just checking out the muscle control," and we're like, "huh again?" So now we're supposed to pay for another appointment to find out the prescription? Hello? So now I have made an appointment with another pediatric doc that is in lubbock and luckily we got in right away. I want a second oppinion. We go on wednesday, april fool's so I hope it'll mean that they will be nothing but truthful with us and not send us all over. Please people just fix my kids eye, I don't care what you have to do! Yikes! I'm sorry this is so long, I just have to vent somewhere :)
